With November gone, I have officially finished my first month of my daily sketch challenge. It is very rewarding to see all my sketches together. It has also been difficult at times to stick to it and to find ideas. Some sketches have been way faster than others and finished in different satisfactory levels but anyway it has been a great experience which will continue for the foreseeable future. If you want to see them uploaded daily and are not following me already, do so on my Instagram

I arrived in Istanbul’s Sabiha Gökçen in a bright and pretty warm summer day. The first thing I did was to look for a friend who I had met on a language learning site and was working there, with no success as I had no means to contact her and it’s not that easy to find someone at busy airport. I decided to go find a way to get to the city center, then to the hostel to leave my bags and go wander around so I took a shuttle which took me close to the Taksim park (the place where the riots happened). To me it seemed that people drive in a similar way as they do in Mexico city, in a crazy one, as the shuttle went pretty fast and the people are kind of aggressive, also I saw one car driving in zig-zags which made our driver a bit more careful for a while until we passed it. Once I got to my destination I had to find out exactly where I was because they have moved the stop to a different place due to lots of renovations as well as police movement where the original one was. This got me

I stayed in Austria with a family that invited me through helpx to stay with them for a month, which lived about 40 minutes away from Vienna in a huge house which were actually two big houses on the same piece of land, so basically I lived in one and the family on the other, even bigger one. Once I was there they told me they would take me to their summer holidays at the lake house of the mother of the family’s brother, in a place called Attersee and there my only task would be to play with their four kids and encourage them to practice their Spanish, which was already pretty good. The house was small and right in front of the lake, with an amazing view of the mountains behind and the turquoise blue water. On our first day there the weather had a sudden change from warm and sunny to cloudy and stormy, especially during the evening, when the thunders started running all over the sky and the wind became so strong, big waves were formed on the lake which went pretty far out the shore
